Educational Initiatives & Collaborations: Addressed the Opera's aspiration to engage with a younger demographic by initiating collaborations between the Opera and the new YELLOW School- exposing students to the art form and career possibilities in connection with opera including production, set design, voice, and makeup- and with a university professor, enabling college students to consult on various aspects of their marketing such as subscription packages and website design.
Strategic Community Partnerships: Facilitated collaborations with organizations like the CAN Foundation, tHRive Young Professionals, and ULI Virginia to bring opera into unexpected, community-rooted spaces — making it more accessible, inclusive, and relevant to new audiences.
Audience & Leadership Diversification: Connected new individuals and networks to Virginia Opera who would later serve as patrons, donors, and board members — helping refresh its support base and strengthen its future-facing leadership.
