Rising Tides, Rising Tensions

a history-meets-present living and traveling art installation.
Rising Tides, Rising Tensions (RTRT) was a living, traveling art installation that had its premiere debut in the lobby of the historic Attucks Theatre in conjunction with the In[HEIR]itance Project's “Exodus: Homecoming” play inspired by the people, places, and stories of Hampton Roads. The installation was purposed to encourage continued learning and discussion about the region’s history and present, and also to inspire its future through connectivity and action through educational workshops and meaningful community conversations.
